«Голландская болезнь». Разговорное выражение, означающее дальнейшую индустриализацию экономики в результате открытия или разработки альтернативных видов природных ресурсов. Ссылка на Нидерланды после открытия залежей природного газа в Северном море. Подобные изменения служат причиной увеличения ценности местной валюты, т. е. производимые товары становятся дороже, что, в свою очередь, ведёт к уменьшению экспорта и увеличению импорта.
